in my rally car i am fitting twin FACET pumps in inner wing, nova gte fuel tank as it has swirl pot built in and a Filter King somewhere..

do i run a line from feed from gte tank, through the car and into the Filter King then into pumps then into carbs?

if not please tell me where to put the Filter King..

cheers

Id put the filter between pump and carbs.

the pumps "should" be near the tank as they are push types, but do still work in suck mode, but dont expect long life from them

Ideally you want a filter before the pump, and another before the carbs to give protection to both, but if you can only run one, id protect the carbs forst.

Oh, and the gte tank doesnt technically have a swirl pot. Its more of a baffle. A swirl pot collects fuel, whereas the dish in the tank just stops it running away in a hard corner.

one for each carb? bit extreme

i am running two as fuel pumps are known to pack up..so if the car cuts out i can flick a switch and the second pump will work.

alot of rally boys run two pumps..:thumb:

and Facet's can be mounted anywhere so i am told..just need to know where the best place to mount swirl pot..

well you need to supply the swirl pot with fuel and then pump it away, so you will need one pump to the pot and then another pump from the pot to the carbs.

your choice on where you mount it but the wheel well is usually the location of choice.

are the pumps "silvertop" interruptor types? if so then yeah they can be mounted anywhere :D

"kev"
there are two main types of carb fuel pumps, a solid state and interruptor. The solid state ones can only push fuel so cant be mounted in the engine bay as its too far for the pump to suck and then pump, this will wear it out fast and kill it fast.
