Superchips charge ?300 for a Nova GSi/GTE and they garantee a massive 5bhp.

Youd probably see the same gain by fitting some new service parts if the engines tired.

for that money you could loads more to it

only worth it on tubo cars as you can up the boost ect... but on N/A its a complete waste of time imo

...unless youve fitted a well flowed head and a lairy cam. Still expensive but worth doing to get the best from your mods.

But on a standard engine, what Phil said lol

pfffft if your spending that money then you may as well go mappable management other wise your pissing into the wind

what about if you have got a straight though and de-cat, cda induction kit, splitfire and uprated plugs, would it help as its probaly getting more air or what not?

Not really. May help a bit, but again the gains you'll get per pound are miniscule.

for the price of a "chip" you could get a nitrous kit, then when youve blown the crap out of the engine you can take the nitrous an fit it onto the next engine.

You may as well spend ?300 on carbs and tuning them, then you'll never have to worry about managment again lol

for 300 quid you could fit a cam and still have change for a decent second hand 4-2-1 exhaust

or you could buy some twin 40's for around 200 and spned the other ton on a dizzy and inlet ;)

can a gsi superchip be changed into a gte ecu?

Philsutton
20-03-08, 06:55 PM
I would say no as they are different management systems assuming its a later gsi
