How many lires does the rad hold?

Does anybody know how many litres the nova radiator holds? Tried searching but no joy.

as many as it takes to fill it.....

iirc it depends on the engine, as there were a couple of different sizes (please correct me if i'm wrong)

Im only asking as im looking to buy an alloy rad. There are plenty of secondhand RST alloy rad's on ebay. I know that all the mounting points are going to be differant but not really bothered about that due to cutting most of the front off the car.

Does it really matter if i have a rad thats too big?

wouldnt have thought so, you'd just get a little extra cooling, which can never be a bad thing

Thats the thing, it can be a bad thing. i.e in winter. Want to get one as near as possible.

i suppose i could experiment with my 1300 one tomorrow (its out of the car and i'm a bit bored..... might pass some time)

That would be mega if you could :). Block one end and measure how much you can pore in. I understand if you dont get round to doing it, but appreciate the help.

thats what your thermostat is there for..... if an RST ally rad is on the bay nice and cheap, take it.

how much winter driving do you do anyway?
