right... i was giving it some stick last night, when i came off the dual carriage way i realised my tick over was really high (about 1250rpm, sometimes even topping 1500rpm), i have also since noticed that my dump valve has changed its sound from a fairly abrupt 'hiss' to a long and dragged out 'flutter' (a lot like a wastegate), iv noticed no obvious signs of power loss. any help would be appreciated.

Got a boost gauge fitted? Still boosting the same?

yeah iv got 1, i had 1 blip this evening where my booste seemed to fail for a second but has been fine since

Hmmm, check any vacuum hoses.

high idle sounds like sticky idle control valve try freeing it off with some wd40.

sounds like vacuum pipe has come off your standard DV, if its still in use that is.
