Loud grinding noise

Ive recently heard a loud grinding noise when my nova gte is in neutral and my foot is not on the clutch pedal. When I press the clutch pedal the noise goes. Anyone got any ideas what could be causing this, before I go to a garage???

Sounds like the clutch release bearing is nosiey, I don't think it is a major problem but to replace it means the clutch coming out, you may as well have a new clutch fitted at the same time whilst it's out. As long as you can select gears and drive, it shouldn't be a problem, unless it's really Pi*&%ng you off, then get it fixed.

if its select the gears smoothly,then just dont bother.
ya clutch is on its way outr,just get a new clutch wen ya need to.
i.e when this one dont work
