headlight fault

mt f...g headlights have packed up!!!! :cry:
changed the switch and stalk still no use
have sidelights and main beam when u flash them but thats all
bulbs r ok but im not getting a feed to bulbs for dipp beam
any ideas anyone is there a headlamp relay and if so where is it?????

im not going to react to that comment as it will cause problems,calling me stupid isnt helping anyone isit.have you read CP post?
chances are that it is something simple.as lights are simple.
have you had a circuit tester on it?
my person expience is that relays dont tend to go wrong.
more likly to be a connection.
or burnt out bit of wire,

have u checked the fuses (sounds obvious but u didnt mention it)

Each has its own fuse - poss theyre blown (weird 4 both to go).

You'll need to get hold of a volt meter and track down the fault with it - couls be a bad earth. Read somewhere on another post about a relay type box behind the bonnet release which is used for dipped lights and has some connection to the main beam (dunno though) - think it was in styling something to do with sidelights in the indicators boyt 2 weeks ago..

yeh it was in my post bvout adding side lights,in screwed into the lower shelf i think.
however if he can flash full beam the relay aint busted.
but yes i did forget fuses,fuck im thick lol

found my prob at last
the white and yellow wire that goes into the back of the headlight switch had come slightly adrift but was still in the plug
tightened up and reconnected and bingo!!!
just thought id post this incase anyone has the same fault cause it was a b........d to find
