As above... could also try welding a bar with a 90 degree bend to the wheel nut.

Get (or find a garage) with a locking nut removal key - basically a socket with teeth in - I assume u can get them from motor factors/car accessory shops.

yeah you can get them from halfords. it just looks like a socket but has a tapered left hand thread in so as you turn to undo the nut it will tighten up onto it

I used a 19mm impact socket and hammered it onto the nut - literally took 2 mins per nut and was much easier and cheaper than the Halfords option!

or you could try this...

Shotgun nut
We all get angry at inanimate objects, but an American man resorted to extreme measures this week in an attempt to loosen the last wheel nut on his Lincoln Continental.
He shot it. With a 12-gauge shotgun.
Ricocheting shot from the blast injured the man in both legs, and reached as high as his chin.
Police say the unnamed 66-year-old from South Kitsap, Washington state, was not intoxicated at the time, and was treated for serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.
Deputy Scott Wilson from the Sheriff's office said: "He's determined to get that lug nut off."
