Firstly, sort out the text typing mate.

Have you done pass plus, it might be an idea to lower your premium.... Also, some of the other memebrs might be able to point you in the direction of a cheaper insurance company, try posting up in the 'Insurance' area near the bottom of the forums main page.

Jap exhausts are gash, as are sunstrips. You may as well save your money towards your extortionate insurance bill.

Forget the mods, as that will make insurance even more expensive (technically, those Cobra stripes are a mod...)

As said, look in insurance forum. Ignore confused.com as comparison websites generally are a complete scam - I'd recommend Admiral/Elephant/Bell (add your parents as a second driver), Tesco, maybe CIS.

I did go directly into swinton insurance shop as i have one in the local town but there quote was only cheaper by ?20 or something , so.... anyway al have a look in the insurance section on the forum . cheers razor :thumb:

try the total vaux mags fsat car mags etc lots of insurers in the back ,shouldnt cost that much though shop around more try
www.go compare.com (http://www.go compare.com) this will search around 40 insurers at once giving you the lowest quote;)

i dont like to use confused and companies alike, i find it cheaper to go straight to the insurer. pass plus is a good option, cant remember how much it was (around 150-200 mark) but it knocked off ?400 on my first year and so on. also other things such as an alarm or parking on a driveway contribute towards savings

yea , how much do you reckon a nova like mine would usually go for ?

good bits :
its has 9 / 10 months mot , no tax , 3 new tyres , 1 good , new pads front and back , new exhaust all way through mint interior and a bit of a sound system .

bad bits:
its got a little bit of rust on bottom of front doors hardly noticeable unless doors are wide open and there was a little at front but i got the trusty wire brush on the drill and then re painted it hammerite black ...

lol I love these "don't know how much to sell it for" threads. If you don't know how much to sell it for, put it on ebay with no reserve and see what it makes. If you DO have a minimum price you'd let it go for, tack a bit extra on top of that to allow for bartering (or set a reserve on ebay) and advertise it.

Each different person will have a different price they'd be willing to pay. Mike would probably only give you ?10 and half a mars bar for it lol

I'm assuming you've found other cars you can buy that are cheaper to insure than the Nova - would be daft to sell it then have to spend more money buying another car which will only save you a small amount on insurance...

Ive decided I wont be selling Norma anymore am just gunna keep her in storage do her up a little , and run her asap , at the minuet am currently going threw a selection process to be a apprentis engineer with Bt openreach , a was contenplating getting rid and looking for a 106 or something of that kind mainly for the insurance but like you say at the end of the day ad probly end up paying shed loads to get a cheap one on the road . Like a say my Nova's got about 8 months MOT left no tax , and as seen as i have only had around 30 miles out of it since the MOT in November-ish (Taking on test drive and moving house) a should imagine that if a get to run her before next MOT there shouldnt be to much to do for MOT ( least it wont need tyre's exhaust or brake pad's) ..... Anyway we'll just see how things go with work ... Hopefully al get the Apprentaship and you all at PNG will watch Norma grow to be a strong powerfull little Nova .............. And live happily ever after ...:wtf:
