I have a GSi interior in my Nova and want to put rear headrests in it

I have the holes cut out to put the insert into to make the headrests work and sit properly

But when I put the insert in it sticks out by a 1cm or so and looks un-even

Anyone any ideas how I get it to sit flush with the back seat ?

Cheers, Vaughan :thumb:

Will they not go in any more? Mine sit flush to the seat.
Try turning them slightly, see if they'll go in further.

Aye my dad done them in our old Nova and they went in no problem (from a Cavalier)

We have Cavalier ones for the GSi seats and they stick out by about 1cm - We also tried Nova ones and they did the same...

you need to make sure you have the right ones. the front are longer than the backs iirc. Basically it needs to slot through 2 holes in the backs of the seat supports. Best think I'd say is remove the seat back - dead easy it's just held in place by metal tucks. Just untuck it. That way you'll get a better idea of what youre doing. if you cut the bottoms off it works but they wont be as secure.

Get the back off the seats then adjust to fit (just dont fit till youve put the covers back on.

Cheers for that Ade - I thought it would be the case of slide them down and its job done

Had the same problem with mine so just cut the bottom of the guides off.

Apparently the rear bench guides from a 5 Door Astra Belmont will slot in properly though.

I think there the guides i used.
Which is probably why mine fit fine.

My dad fitted Cavalier ones to the old Nova which had SRi / Flair interior and they fitted in no problem

Went for Cavalier ones again and they stick out by about 1cm

As already said the belmont rears are the ones you want, not available in black any more just grey so youll need to paint them.
