Another new comer!

Hi All,

new to this forum, got myself a blue nova (1.2 merit) with the only mods being a set of 15's. I intend on doing some track racing in this so plan is to get it ready for that and put a c20xe into her. This is my first project so i apologise now for the future bombardment of questions!!

Spripped her out last weekend with parts of dash and driver seat left, will put some pics up in the projects once ive hit the 15 marker.

First question, are Rennsport coilovers anygood? (seam quite cheap?!)

Me personally speaking here , id usally go for a known brand name if you know what i mean , seems you only get what you pay for , ive apex springs in my car and well the ride is as comfortable as sitting on cutt glass . Nath

Do a search for coilovers and see what everyone's opinions are.

yeah thats a valid point on you get what you pay for. It seems a mixed reaction on these coilovers and various other 'cheap' coilovers. Seen a set of FK ones but will depend on how ebay goes!

if your fitting a valver make sure you get some 300lbs front springs fror what ever coilovers you get :thumb:

Plenty of advice around here to help you on your way. Check out the threads in the project section for inspiration. Mine, Dar's, Trackdaynova's, Ernie's, Chris_GSi's and Will F's (to name a few) are all XE track cars, and its worth browsing the threads to get a handle on what you need to do.
