Not sure on reliability etc but they are quite nippy. 82 bhp by the book.

i think it would be just a straight swap! not 100% sure though! your better off asking one of the big boys like razor jack etc

LOL! Don't ask me, I'm crap with engines lol

Does the 1.3 have a return line to the fuel tank, or is that just injection engines that have a fuel return...? Aside from that, it should be a straight swap - 1.2 mounts, loom, gearbox, shafts, radiator etc should all be ok.

1.3 will drop straight into a 1.2 carbed car. If its on the pierburg std 1.3 carb you may have a loose wire on the 1.2 to connect.

I'd have the 1.3 anyway unless its mega miley.

SRis rule. Best Nova factory IMO, hence why i have had 2.
c14se is a great lump. Makes them nearly as fast as the gsi, but ?75 less to tax and 5 insurance groups lower.

i love the sri too had 2 and head gasket went on both but if looked after they are fast and reliable engines and sound awesome as they dont need the afm and you can put filter straight on inlet nice roar,
go sri imo

lol at the headgasket mine went two weeks ago on my sri

but the amount of people that say drop a bigger engine in is unreal but i love my little 1400 multipoint as ive said before

this time ive put myself in gear and invested in a camshaft and a pulley for a tad more power

btw it should be on the road tomoz:thumb:

steve man sri's are injection you can remap them! i had an sri engine in mine for a while and it was great, it took awful abuse and never a hickup out of it. changed it for a c16se and to be honest it was a good bit quicker than the sri.

i know there injection, never knew you could remap a standard ecu, iv asked alot of big tunners and they said it cant be done unless its a aftermarket system like omex etc

nah most ecu's are remapable, but i cant see the point on a c14se, there managment is fairly basic.

SRi ecu has a removable eprom chip that can be replaced with a programmable one iirc, not worth doing though tbh, just stick some 40's on it!
