hi, i have just out a pair of leather cavalier front seats into my nova, fit like a dream apart from they are quite a bit higher than the old seats.
is there anyway of making them lower? ie do something with the subframes?

Also apon acceleration i am getting a very loud knock or clicky noise coming from the engine, sounds the like the manifold. would this need replacing of can it be fixed somehow?

any help would be great!

Cheers

Liam

The proper sliding nova subframes have 2 sets of holes for mounting the seat bases at different heights. Whip the seats out, look underneath and you'll see what I mean.

What sub frames are you using? As mentioned there is a way adjusting the height of the FRONT of the seat, but not the rear. IIRC there is also a methon of heightening and lowering the Cav seats, Its a windy handle similar to that on your car door for the window.

You can adjust the front and back of the front seats, but only by about 20mm ;).

Non Nova seats in a Nova.... bound to be a compromise.

Seeing as we cant guess what the Cav seats are like in relation to the Nova subframes...

I say this thread is useless without pics!
