got some conflicting advice here.

I want to fit 15" Ally's (Fox from Halfords) they say I will need to do some work on my inner wheel arches. Two off my mates say they will go straight on without any mods.

Who's right?

I have 15" alloys on my Nova and have not had any arch work done to the front. The rear arches have been rolled up as when loaded up they did scrub a bit. Make sure you get the correct offset ET49 I believe and the correct tyre size for the nova 195/45/15. You may get away with no arch mods at all. Try it and see as I don't think halfords will do these mods, if it does scrub then you can get them done. Hope this helps.

i had my car lowered 60mm on 15" vauxhall tigra / pentaline wheels ET49mm , and even with my car having four people in , it wouldnt scrub or anything. no arch mods at all - used GTE lowering springs tho so they were stiffer. and believe me the car was so low if it was fully laden 4 bods in the car and full boot. only prob i had was knocking around corners - think that was the shocks.

anyway

i think you should be fine.

mk2 novas have more clearance than mk1 novas as well for the record.

gu on say it - u got a mk1

seriously, give it a bash, ull be fine.

Gavvo maybe you will as the tsw's are et40 i think and this is a bit of a dodgy one.

it all depends on your car as mine was on 15"s on 195/45's and this rubbed on one side due to it having a new quater at some point in the past.
