Just about to order my rear lines, but I'm unsure on the order. Can anyone confirm this is right/would work? Ordering from here (http://www.rallydesign.co.uk/index.php?cPath=85_248)BTW

Can someone confirm that the female swivel joints connect to the screw on a standard metal brake line?

Looks about right, your gonna need a Nut on the Male bulkhead fitting tho (so it can clamp against the bulkhead).
Not 100% sure if the thread on your female end matches the std sleeve nuts on Nova lines or not, can easily fit new sleeve nuts with the correct thread tho.

Why do you need to connect them to the metal lines anyway ? just run straight to the drum / caliper.

THANK YOU! +1 rep

good point on the metal lines, its drums on the back of mine. any idea what fitting they are tho? 3/8x24 or M10x1? I got a feeling its 3/8's

I'll be writing a guide once I've compleated this as it seems to trouble a few people.

Can't mind what size fittings they were, i think i ended up buying a few different ones to cover it all.
Just an idea ... why not just run 1 line straight hose to the rear beam then have a T peice mounted on the rear beam, then just use copper pipe to either drum, should save a few ??? on fittings ... and be lighter (maybe) !!

The unions are m10
There all metric on a nova

Another good idea Rich, but Dan ran a similar setup to the above (but copper) so my shell is already drilled for it, so it would be rude not too.

Adam, so I can replace the screw in connection on the drums with a banjo and bolt setup?

Finally, I've asked Dar on this, but what size is the connection coming out of the M/C? The two underneath for the fronts, I assume are M10, but the two on top with the hex bar thing coming out are bigger! Any ideas, as all the brake fitting I've seen only come in M10 (and 3/8")

Maybe im just missing something???

Aye, if your running flexi hose straight to the drums you could use a banjo and bolt, done that on my calipers.
Unsure on the MC union sizes as i ran a different MC.

The hex bar thing is the original brake bias adjusters. they are still M10 X 1mm fitting though.

The slaves in the drums take an M10*1.0 Male convex fitting.

the MC takes male convex fittings.

the calipers take banjo bolts unless you fitted AP/Brembros etc then they might not.

Well I ordered last night and had a phone this morning from Lee at Rally Designs informing me that the hose I ordered will not fit the fittings I ordered - D'oh! So he swapped it for -3 (RDPIPE3) and then I meantioned the M12 fitting on the M/C, and he sorted something out for me. I'll find out what when it arrives lol Think its a 20deg banjo and bolt, but not Euroquip some other brand.

CG - olives???? I assume the fittings came complete and it was a just a case of screwing it together  Matey on the phone didn't mention it :(

I think I maybe missing something from my hex bar thing, but it shouild be sorted now anyway.

Cheers for the replys
