considering the engines were heavily modified so the air came in thru the original exhaust ports & out the original intake, & they were designed to run at 8500rpm for about 30 mins giving 300bhp, I would think the info is a closely guarded secret that cost ?0000's to develop, best of luck

The company who built the engines for the vecs(don't think they ever went in the cars) etc have long gone for sure

your best off talking to steveboyslim on vauxsport regarding the swindon info and also help with getting to 300bhp N/A .... for that you will need a huge wallet and a lot of patience.

I think you need to reassess those costs..... its a bit more than that for a reliable 300bhp.

when I say reliable I still mean 1K mile strip down/rebuild jobs.

A friend of mine has just bought a Pilbeam running a 300bhp Swindon engine, so I will see if he has some info.

Thanks Dar its only because seeing as a got that touring cars manifold and exhaust i thinking of keeping to there sort of build but might just go with around 300% cams if cant get no info

And to anyone else that says about why not go for lets or about getting 300bhp from a xe ect you will not get an answer i had enough of that on my project page.

Can I just ask how you came to that figure?

Spending that amount of money on an engine last seen being ram raided through Spar in the early hours then disappearing into the night in a Cavalier shaped motor seems..........somewhat pointless?

I can garantee a lot of people in this thread think you'd be a fool to waste such money on an XE........me.....IMO your a complete bellend if you do.

On the other hand, fiar do's, will make some interesting pub bragging rights wouldnt it......hope you dont end up bankrupt though.
