View Full Version : fse reg adjustment
as above, ive just put a 1.6 8v in a corsa where a 1.4 was, so how do i adjust it? dont want the bloody thing running lean, the engines a c16se out of a late nova gsi (l reg)
what do you wanne adjust? idle ore mixture?
fuel pressure, on the regulator, as its gonna be wrong, i guess. the things got a silver domed head nut at the top, i guess thats the adjuster?

if it aint got a gauge on it you could turn it up a bit at a time and test drive best to try a gauge on it tho

if you have a guage it'll be pretty obvious, watch it lol
if not, i cant actually remember... i set my xe up on the rollers the other week, but cant remember which way i adjusted it :(
cheers fella, its only a cheap car for a mate but i dont want it underfueling tbh. anyone else got any ideas?
It wont underfuel with the standard regulator fitted.
Theres really no need for the fse :)

:)
there's no point just adjusting and chucking loads of fuel just so it doesnt run lean! it would pointless fitting it!
get a pressure guage and do it properly!
Huh?
The standard regulator that the engine came with was designed to suit the engine and its ecu map.
You DONT need a fse..... The standard regulator is perfectly capable.
You only need to start changing fuel pressure when running different injectors/ecus etc etc.

i ment you're right!!! leave the standard one on instead of f**king about wiht an adjustable one when you dont know what pressures you're running!
Oh :p
I misread your reply lol

its all good! lol
an FSE will either fuel right for idle but lean out at or end, or vice versa...... in short fFSE = F**king S**t Equiptment.
