i've seen brake disc skimming done in a similar way, but holding an angle grinder keeps you fingers a lot further away.

I've watched a few people do this before, I never felt the need to try it though!!!!

It made the job a good bit easier!!

My dad and his mate were trying to think of a way of plaining tyres down on Sevens (caterham type jobbies). So I suggested taking the rear wings off, leaving the car on a high idle in gear, and using a plainer to take tread off the tyres. Pretty much the same idea as that guy had.
