A crash i was involved in last september.

Allthough i don't get it, i am still ongoing with physio and have had the most sessions yet out of me and my dad i'm getting 800 less than him :S

The nova won't cost much to fix now.

I will be giving my dad atleast 600 or so back to say thanks for paying for my insurance so it don't look like i take the p1ss.

Ebay is your friend. Finding the right bargains at the right time, you could transform that thing and still have cash in your pocket.

If i had 1k as disposable income, and a base model of a car, i would be peeved if it wasnt nicely lowered on some nice wheels, with the paint tidied up including some GSi bumpers, some 2.0 brakes on the front and possibly a GSi interior to boot. IMO as your first car, thats as far as youd need to take it. Just look at Daves car to see what you can do with a small budget but a good eye for a bargain.

You can tell a 17 year old to save until your blue in the face, it just wont happen lol

He's in the peer pressure stage of his car years. Basically his group of friends are new drivers, and all want to be the first to have alloys, and then a lowering kit, and then a phat 'zorst etc.. At this point, every last penny will be spent on this parts race. We've all been there.

TBH if i was 17 and a mate was putting money into a cash ISA, i'd wonder wether he was gay. Its blatantly the sensible thing to do, but 17 isn't about being sensible.

I know this because i went through the same thing, and the majority of people on here are in denial if they dont say it was the same for them lol

I'm actually a good saver but in this case i think it must be spent and enjoy my self lol.

I allready have alloys & a lowering kit unlike most my other mates so i'm allready 1 point ahead. To complete my life i would need lots of negative rep from you Lee which i will accept with a smile on my face lol

Watch how many new mates you get or how close they become when you get cash like that.I made the mistake of blowing all mine in a week (1500) on an xr3i and keeping me and my mates in fags weed and booze they stayed with me all day and night then when id spent up they were nowere to be seen.I was same age as you when i got mine

it is for these reasons that insurance in the uk is so expensive for people.

What i do at college involves heavy lifting alot of the time and since the crash my shoulder hasnt been the same and still get pains in it. Also my lower back is twisted a bit now and hurts if i sit in the wrong position.

The car hit where i was sat when he pulled out and hit us at 30mph. So as it his my belt stopped me from getting shoved to the over side of the car but in an dodgy way.

With no offence meant to anyone who has recieved compensation...
But what happened to the days when people got on with life?
And if the money is from loss of work, then surely you should spend it on useful things.

Jack

Where there's blame there's a claim!

As for the spare grand, I reckon ?100 for a set of GSi sides and bumpers, then ?900 for the insurance hike lol

Look i'm in a car crash with my dad and his GF...

My dad has never been in a crash before and neither had i.

My dad took the decision to claim and for us to join him as we wasn't feeling right after the crash.

My dad isn't your adverage dad for a 17 year old my dad is much older and has 3 perminent broken ribs.

The guy that crashed into us looked about 90 and his excuse was he didn't see us so it's people like him that shouldn't even be allowed on the road.

draper
11-03-08, 07:54 PM
it doesnt matter what the situation was YOU had no reason to claim apart from greed

it doesnt matter 2 hoots about teh other guy either really, as wether in your inexperienced opinion he should be on the road or not you claiming wont change fack all

NovaLad
11-03-08, 07:56 PM
I'm not even going to bother having this conversation with you.

Basicly your disagreeing with anyone in the world that has ever claimed after a crash so take it up with them.

Cant beleive people are against you for claiming compensation for injuries/pain/suffering caused through no fault of your own, crazy lol
I hope they are in an accident like yours soon, tenner says they wont think the way they do now lol
Part of the insurance we pay is for compensation to others (or thats what i thought) :tard:

I'd never claim from a mate, but wouldn't be so lenient on anyone else. I never got a claim from my crash (http://www.pngclub.com/forum/showthread.php?t=67331&highlight=damn+fords) because I couldn't remember what happened and the B1TCH went and changed her story :(

I have no problem with people claiming on insurance for personal injury if it is just and fair.

Many many people now claim whiplash because it's undetectable and an easy claim, to me that's just wrong and a sad statement of our society. Grab what you can. Go back 15-20 years and there were not these cases about, as people just got on with it.

i was plannig on staying out of this thread before i lost my temper but you my friend are an idiot, ive been in accidents worse than novagirl and didnt once thinking about claiming. maybe im just to honest for my own good as i wouldnt feel right scamming a few grand out of the powers that be

That's why I rolled my eyes in the first place, not because of people claiming compensation. If you wish someone in an accident, like Damper said, you seriously need to sort yourself out.

aaaaaaahahahaha you ass hat lol
Youre a tool, how the feck is it scamming if you have sustained injuries? :tard:

As Andy said, if theyre claiming for whiplash and other stuf they havent got then its shamefull. But its only right to claim compensation if youre generally suffering, i cant/dont beleive you wouldnt claim if you were really injured, its nothing to do with being honest. How the f*ck do you expect to survive with no income? or are you one of these state benefit scavers that think "oh, it will be ok, i`ll just live off the big pot thats filled with tax payers money"

Oh and i dont "ACTUALLY" wish anyone was in an accident you moorons
Its just another way of saying "if the shoes were on the other feet", i just added a pinch of harsh and a dribble of heartlessness for effect

draper

^^ lol

i suggest you re-read the thread, if someone genuinly needs the money to 'compensate' what income they would of earnt while off work through an accident theres no problem, my problem is with people like novalad who didnt actually lose out on 2k as he wasnt working

claiming for a little bit of discomfort is pretty low, if your suffering you take it easy for a few weeks and put it down to experience imo

and wether im on benefits or not isnt really an issue in this thread is it

[quote]

Apart from the pain and suffering (which he far deserves being compensated for, as it was through no fault of his own) it looks like it is effecting his future to me, another reason for much deserved compensation

Also he was out of action from his part time job for a while, which i imagine for a working student (not some mummy and daddy will see me through type) is disaster

Above all that, no matter whether youre working or not, i feel that if you are injuried because of some cozey dunt on the road then you should be compensated

Or maybe im just too dishonest? lol :tard:
