My friend put components in nova, they were the sony 5.25 inch components and they sounded well good :) They were on special atm, but i can't find where, 50 quid reduced from 150. Personally i would go for those, but don't rule out kenwood dual mags, i was very impressed with these when i put them in a mates fiesta, the bass is amazing from such a small magnet. These will all handle more power, and will sound alot better than the basic standard replacement speakers.

When putting them in the door, we had to cut away the metal behind the door card to mount the woofers and tweeters in (this was in a mk1, not sure about mk2's), but this was a simple job of driving and cutting it out, it just took along time.

Window winders - if i remember correctly there is a horseshoe shaped clip in between the handle and the winder mechanism and this is what holds them together. What you need to do is get two small screwdrivers and find the kinks at the end of this clip and pull them away from the mechanism and the clip should then just spring out. Careful cos they spring along way ;) Its just a case of fiddling till it comes out.

:o :o :o :o

dont cut the metal behind the door cards!!! this is the main structure of the door, if you have a side impact crash u will regret it

have a flick through the last four or five ICE posts, it was in one of these it says the size speakers you can get away with without modding the metal, and then any bigger you need to make a pod.

hope that helps

and sorry for the difrence of opinion

but i saw this nova at my scrap yard, lets put it this way i doubt the passenger walked away. mite try n get a picture if i can, was REAL bad

MikeOxford - To be fair, i agree with you on the don't chop metal front, i was always a bit ominous about it, i can't say that my friend had any problems with it, but you never know really.
