started my car today after work and was smoking very badly and spluttering(as it did when i went thro a big puddle of water a while back) i changed the plugs and it went fine now its doing the same thing but smoking very badly do you think it could be a faulty ht lead as its smoking alot and feels like its going to cut out as if its not running on all cylinders any help appreciated also if anyone knows the best place to get a set of ht leads at the best price let me know im in the northwest cheers ian:thumb:

i dont think it would smoke mate if it was a lead what engine is it?? a lead will only not supply a spark if its dodgy so you will be running on 3 cylinders.

Remove distributor cap, check that each arm on the centrifugal advance has the little springs attached.
