Ok got some compo money comign soon and i want to invest in a flip out screen for the nova but with the area for cd players to sit in being on a dodgy angle am i going to have problems??
Also what should i be looking to spend because i have seen a nice sevic 1 for around 200 without removeable screen and then a pioneer 1 for 500 with removeable screen.
Advice please cheers.
P.S also can i see some pics of ya novas with them in cheers.
I think you have to mod the top heater vents mate and put it up there

Why not get a flip down one if its a non-sunroof model?

why not invest your money in an mini cash ISA?
you need to check the specs of each one as i think if one has the function to set the screen angle from the unit you should be ok

Okies that's what i was waiting for someone to confirm .. cheers draper.
Do any of yas know if sevic are any good?
Cant really fit a flip down sceen in the std position, the screen would end up sitting against the dash (still pointing towards the floor). Only way to do it is to space the headunit out a couple of inch (as if its not pushed into the cage far enough) so that the screen clears the dash.
Not that difficult to fit in the heater vents, puts the screen in a far better position as well (imo).
Theres actually a few threads with pics in if you have a quick search.

Don't want to be doing the thing with the heaters.
Don't want to be doing the thing with the heaters.
I agree, purely for the fact that anyone sat behind you in traffic will see it, and then added to the fact its in a Nova, it will be an easy nab.
MK2 golfs also have the stereo in the high position (like MK1 nova's) and my pals headunit was robbed 2 days after he fitted it. We think its because some skank saw it whilst he was out in the car.

Good points.
Also like said the one i mite be getting that's cheaper because of discount dousn't have a removable facial. even though my nova is in a garage over night i would feel on edge parking it at a mates with it up in the air on show.

TBH if you want a screen then you should buy something decent anough to support it.
You can't really complain that it flattens ya battery when you havn't even gone and bought the correct type of battery to support the product.
My Msn address is in my profile.
