How is the slam panel and cross member fixed??

Are they spot welded? Do they have to be welded back in or can they be bolted?

Yes, Yes, No structural item, bolts not suitable, unless it was designed to be so and it isn't.

Aye the fr panel could be bolted or rivetted but the cross member is what takes all the strain of braking & acceleration forces..... Best if welded in solid!
