evening all,

finally pulled my finger out :tard: and drove up to leicester on saturday to pick up the cav slabs i bought on ebay...

had a slight detour to dunstable to pick up a welder, which will come in very handy with fabricating some subframed for the nova and fitting the cage :D :thumb:

anyway, ?61 lighter :( but have a nice set of wheels. ovbiously not for show, but will do for track. hardly kerbed, just paint flacking inside the slots.

have avon rubber on 3 and firestone on the other all with plenty of life.

what do you think? :p

i was just buying them for the rubber originally, but 15's are cheaper for tyres than 14's so gonna sell the astra gte white wheels i've got now!

?61 is a bargain just fot the tyres, the wheels would be mint after a lick of paint. they're completely original other than one odd centre cap, plus no kerbing :)

Bargain. Won't they be a bit heavy for track use though?

granted they're not the lightest :( and if i had the money i'd run the astra gte wheels but i dont...

They'll fit fine. I've had my set on 4 Novas now.
As with all wheels (*unless we are talking Alessio's) they hold the tyres on.

Jack, the Cav GSi rims arent especially heavy, they arent all that thick in any area behind the front edge tbh. They just look it.

*Alessio's are just plain pimping.

Don't think they will fit a hatch with that size tyres on.

I personally hate Chav slabs but if everyone liked the same thing would be boring (ie Speedlines)

My Cesaros have calibra tyres on (I think) at 195/60/15 and they JUST fit th saloon arches. Mighty close to the front tie bars on full lock. IMO 205/55 won't fit, especially not on a hatch.

Can the owner of the b-reg nova tell me the ride height, as im looking to lower mine, i want it looking nice like a 60mm drop but can a 40mm look just as good taking into consideration practicallity. Im not sure how low to go (if you like)
