All new car stereo head units come with ISO connectors now adays, so that they can be quickly interchanged with todays modern cars.

Cars such as your nova don't have ISO connectors and so they cannot connect up direcetly with these outputs from the stereo.

All the wires for the stereo are still there and there are two things you can do to wire your stereo in:

a) buy a kit that makes your cars radio wires into an ISO connector so they can connect directly to the ISO outputs on the head unit, you can probably get one of these down halfords. These just join onto your existing wires and then slot into the head units current connections

or

b) Chop the ISO block off the end of the head units output and solder the wires directly onto it. Here you will need a wiring diagram of which output is which. All ISOs are built up of 2 blocks, a power block and a speaker block so this should make things a bit easier.
Basically just wire it up and it should work :)

Seems a little confusing i know, and you will need to know what the wires in your car are for etc, but thats just a case of tracing them, and knowing which one is your power cable(normally brown) and your earth(normally black)
