just wondering how much increase bhp . i would get if i fitted a throttle body to a 1.8 16v ecotec nova its off ebay but it says 3-5bhp increase but i thought you got at least 22bhp is this right amount for that engine or what.i will post pics as soon as ive made 15 posts png rules.:thumb:

is it just a direct replacement throttle body?i think your getting mixed up with the throttle body kits(from the likes of sbd etc)the kits use a throttle body on each cylinder and come up second hand for roughly ?1000+

its just for one body so no its not a kit didnt know there was 1 for each cylinder ill leave well alone then cheers anyway

I thought all astra mk3 gsi's were 2.0 16v.....


ps.try to limit comments like the one above, have you seen the tabloid reports of people speeding & filming it etc.......

the later astras suffered from the steep rise in insurace premuims the late 80s/early 90s so vauxhall removed the 2.0l engine ad fitted a more insurance friendly 1800

I thought all astra mk3 gsi's were 2.0 16v.....
no some were 1.8 16v.

which engine has it got in x18xe or c18xe?i used to have a c18xe astra gsi and seemed to go ok
