Here is a incar clip of the first run we done at Bruntingthorpe on the 25/02/08

The times were :

0-60 4.9 no nitrous in 1st
0-100 9.6
1/4 mile 12.9 @119mph
Vmax 139 when lifting off in 5th gear

Not too shabby for a ?150 xe pulled out of a Astra Gsi 3 days earlier lol

So, what happened then? Engine didn't take too kindly to the nitrous? Lol

You going be re-fitting the other re-built engine??

The other rebuilt engine with steel rods etc sits on a stand and that might be where it stays for a while now.

Our issue is with meltdowns, not rods breaking so until were at that stage the engine may be used for something else.

Were quite sure we have found the reason behind the meltdown and hopefully we might gain some power next time out, obviously were pushing these engines right to the edge, the only monitiring we could do is seperate thermocouples on the headers datalogging through the innovate.

Thermocouples aren't cheap I don't think and until we REALLY start pushing more gas down it we'll stick to what we know works

Looks rapid from the video. It really gets a move on in 2nd gear onwards.

Hope you sort the issues with it, not my idea of fun continually popping pistons/engines.

Were using the gas from 2nd gear onwards (as you can tell lol)

Engine failures aren't too much of a problem as long as they don't involve a lot of money, you don't even want to know how its going back together this time round LOL
