View Full Version : fitting TB's to xe, water pipe to inlet manifold?

hello, in the middle of fitting tb's and i'm not sure what to do with the hose the goes from the plastic pipe at the rear to the old inlet manifold? do i just blank it off? if so what with?
ps i'm using qed dth tb's on c20xe

do you mean the water pipe which oes though the side of the head?? if so blocking it off may cause ill effets, best to drill and tap the inlet and fit a small hydraulic fitting

p.s. if its the third pipe, then you don't really need it, just block it off or get the pastic rear pipe off a nove which only has 2 outlets

Whats the best way to block the hose? Is rubber and 25mm diameter

do the bodies already have the fitting installed or is it still blanked off? Mine is just blanked and has never been a problem.

Shove a wheel bolt in it & a jubillee clip to keep it put.

theres no hole for hose on the tbs as they direct to head with no manifold (you probably knew that) so have a hose end with nothing to do. you can it in my WIP page 13 4th pic, not very clear though!
