As title

Both engines are from J plate cars, one has brown injectors, the other has cream

Any difference? the cream engined one seams faster imho

You quite often get two identical engines, with one being quicker than the other.
Just depends how they've worn etc.

You'll find they'll be feck all difference TBH, maybe one colour has an adjusted spray pattern, or the injectors were manufacturd by a different company etc

are you peeps 100% sure there the same?? just i remember reading that some gsi engines run 2.5bar fuel pressure and others run 3 bar. so may the injectors be different due to this??

I've broken & had many E16SE motors in my time. I've never come across brown injectors on one.

I reckon someone has slapped them on in order to 'tune something'.

Quite possibly.

Maybe with the Siemens/Bosch management change?

But my argument stands here. I've had about 4 engines with Bosch ECU & about 3 with the Siemens ECU. All had creams.

Your probably right then Craig.
Someones probably fitted them as a "mod"

''mod'' indeed. I've never actually encountered a C16SE if thats where they are from.

That could be the answer.
C16 used a completely different management system, so probably had different injectors.

And a higher rail pressure no doubt.

My so called standard GSI engined nova certainly feels quicker than it should be :S
