right this is a new one,
i dont want any comment bout how slow it is etc.
heres the story, 2 nites ago my lass lil brother got knocked off his moped.
bad bit.its fucked his left leg, real bad,as in a wheel chair for ages (ova 5yrs)i think life but im not gonna ask,
now heres the bit.
as he is 17 in 10 days,he brought a 14 sr.now he wont be able to drive it,but he really wanted to.
so this hit me earlyer, was any auto nova`s made?
if not how hard would this be to do?ive got an old auto box outa a 82 1.8I cav.
id put the work in but i feel so sorry for him and he was crazy to get driving init,he wash n polished it every secound.
and i want him to have some fun with it,
i know anything possible with the time and money etc ,but eaxclt how hard is this gonna be.otheriwse i was gonna go get him a SRI cav and put an auto init but he loves his nova,
its gota stay 1.4,sadly.

Some corsa's came with autobox's known as AF13, but to fit one would prob be a bitch because the tranmission is electronically controlled.
the transmission ECU operates in conjustion with the engine management to control gear changes. so it would be prob easlier to transplant the engine, autobox, loom and ECU's from the corsa.
Sorry to hear about your lass lil bro

yeh its an idea of taking corsa stuff,
but it wont be a SR,eninge i mean wont be the sam preforamce etc.
if i was gonna do that id just give him da corsa.
i looked at how the saab thing works, and it dont have nuff room under the bonnet in the nova.
so i think what il do is get a mk3 SRI cav and get the box+tuff from a CD cav with the same size engine.
shame he really wanted it but cavs r nicer hehehehehehhe
sounds strange but if he gets disability allowance, cant he get some kind of grant to have the car modified for driving? I used to work with this guy who was badly crippled - both legs were stunted and he only had one proper arm (the other was shrunken). He used to drive a well smart modified N reg astra. It had special electronic gadgets and an electronicvally operated steering wheel all done from a small joystick on the drivers door card.
I'd look to see what kind of grants you can get then speak to vauxhall - you never know they may be able to help...

hi just thought id update you,his gonna bout 1 leged for a 2yrs(til the others ones sorted).

moving the clutch pedal.why cant i move the clutch operation from the pedal to a handle on the interior somewhere. or steering wheel.
what you lot think?

dont the new saab turbos use tiptronic gears? as you work for them cant you have a look at this way round?

l8 900 have it,but it has to be a special order now.and i did have alook at one,
but the space that is need and how complex it is.really it would be so hard to make it work on a nova,i think it would distroy the box,
with those types of gear it puts alot of stress on the box
hence y not many made now

fair enough.
must be some way round it though.
there is a guy at work whos friend is disabled and has got a vfr converted to hand controls as his legs dont work! he has also got a porsche but obviously that has tiptronic anyhow.
