read somewhere that you can put a red top head on an seh block,
how true is this? and what else is involved?:thumb:
much less greif to simply fit a full 2.0 16V engine.
you need the 8v pistons either modding or swapping for XE ones as the valve cut outs arent right, you will need to change the ECU, you will need to drill and tap the cambelt end of the block for the XE idlers etc.
plus all the inlet gumpf.
you wont save much/any money and you will expend LOTS of time (which still costs)
And other stuff like knock sensor etc, which a 8v block dont have afaik.

thought this way would be easier, i didnt want two 2.0l 16v novas. my engine seems to have been a bodge job by the previous owner and to put it simply i am sick of finding things where they arent supposed to be, and sick of it running like a bag of s**t no matter what i do. anyone selling a 2.0l 16v engine?? lol.
