c16xe ECU immobiliser

Good morning,

a mate of mine is fitting a c16xe into a Nova,

how can he disarm or bypass the immobiliser in the ECU?

the c16xe' didnt have them iirc, only the later x16xe

to bypass them you'll need the ecu reprogramming (around ?200 i believe) or you'll needa transponder key, ecu and the ring to go round the ignition barrel from a car (all 3 must be from the same car)

the above is correct, if its the early (c)16xe then there will b no immobiliser to have t mess with, but if its the later x16xe or x16xel then you need amatching ecu, key chip, and transponder

i have an x16xe ecu sat here with key chip and ignition ring, your's for a good price if you need one? much less than vaux qwil charge to re-program yours anyway
