How safe/unsafe would it be to use a welder beside a gas combi boiler?

When I say beside I mean... 2 meters away? :tard:

as long as one of them is turned off whilst the other one is turned on you will be fine.........Me & my brother once caused my mum's telly to go dim when we were arc welding an old lorry right in the middle of eastenders, now that was dangerous!

ps. I don't mean in albert square, just to clarify that point.

as long as the boiler is in good order, you will be fine

well some monkey 'serviced' it a month ago, so it should be ok. I'll just leave the doors open and hope for the best!

Its as safe as welding with no mask on. I do it all the time and not blind yet

I can't see it being a problem, unless your welding the combi boiler :D

The boiler expells the burnt or unburnt gasses to outside the house via a port, if it's just been checked, then they wouldve checked for leaks. :)

if its new then they are completely sealed, gases go in and out of the boiler through the balanced flue, no gases enter or leave from inside. unless the gas pipe is leaking however

good way of checking for gas leaks........light a ciggie lighter and waft it around the boiler. if it goes bang, then theres definately a leak.

and a good way of checking electrics to see if there live.......lick the wires, if your tongue goes fuzzly/starts smoking/goes on fire/you collapse and die.........then thats live too :thumb:
