im trying to change the rear axle.
but the dam break lines are rock solid and cant undo them.

any ideas/tricks?

Cut them off, and replace them.

Thats if mole grips etc etc have failed to undo the unions.

yea mole grips just chewd them. where abouts would i make the cuts?

Can you get the unions undone at the car end?
Or are they all seized.

As you've got the rear solid lines>union>flexi>solid pipe>union into drum

Try and avoid having to cut the solid lines the run the length of the car!

Chop the flexis off.

both joints are siezed. the joint below the flexi and above. if i cut the flexi id still have the problem of disconecting the joints

Yep.
Thats what my problem was.
I ended up replacing every fooking line on the car lol

take it to your local garage, it won't cost that much to get it done, & a lift is by far the best way to get at the lines

just cut and replace, look at it as bing on more thing that wont stop you gtting an MOT

penatrating oil, soak it over several days, wirebrush the unions after soaking them, then soak again.

Aye, soak in WD-40, then return a couple days later & wire brush em off, soak again with WD & apply some plus-GAS or blow torch.

Buy a suitable brake pipe spanner & use mole grips over the spanners' jaws to eliminate them flexing open. That sorted mine which were highly corroded like all aspects of the underside of my car.

The solid pipe has a press flared end, so if you cut it you will need a pipe cutter and flaring tool with a 3/16 die.

il get on the blower to the lads, one of them must have that tool ;) think im gona have to cut. still siezed today :(
