depends what connections the LCD has and what the PC has...

if the PC just has a normal VGA connector then your LCD needs one too
if the PC has a DVI connector and the LCD "should" ahve one too, you get DVI-> DVI

I think you can get DVI-> vga convertors though to make life a little easier.

As stuart says... it depends on a few things.

Are you wanting to use it as a 2nd Monitor ? If so you'l have to look at what spare out-put you have on your graphics card. Most likely it'l be the DVI output that's spare unless you have a pretty snazzy new primary monitor !

Then it depends what your LCD TV has, most of them should have both a DVI and a VGA.

So, just get the lead to suit. You can get DVI-DVI, VGA-VGA, DVI-VGA, VGA-DVI.

Expect to pay about ?20 for the lead from maplins though...

Edit - Try keep it DVI-DVI if possible, it'l give you the best picture quality - which is pretty important on an LCD TV as they're usually pretty pants resolution .

i have an S-Video port on my laptop so i use that, picture quality isn't bad and ideal for watching films and clips etc.

Porn you mean. lol  lol

i usually download "copies" of films i "already own" and then just switch to the sva output and watch them on the tele with the surround sound.

That's what I'd be watching on my 37" if I link my laptop to it. :D

Had a little look,

TV has 3x HDMi inputs, 2x Scarts, and a set of 3 phono inputs,

PC already has a 21" monitor using the dvi i would imagine, cant get to the back yet to see what else it has.

Just looked at the tower and it does have dvi but as i suspected this is used for the 21", does have 2x S video ports so could i use one of these

or

The monitor has 2 inputs, the DVI and a VGA, could i use the VGA port on the monitor instead of the DVI to free up the DVI port on the tower?

Yer free up to DVi port on the tower.

And then use a DVi - HDMi cable for the TV

a Monitor will be totally fine on VGA. LCD tv's tend to be alot worse resolution than a normal PC monitor, so use the better DVI output for that.
