once iv fitted the c16xe, ill be saving up for some throttle bodies

the only ones iv really looked into are the sbd set's

im after good low rpm range, good high rpm range, good cold start, good enough to use everyday,

im also after a complete kit, with management with a base map to get it to the RR to be mapped,

price can be around ?1500 or below

what are my options people ?

SBD just use Jenveys which you can get from anywhere really (ebay should be ok as they dont tend to wear lol)

Then talk to Jamsport about getting management and mapping done with go-tec... Should be able to squeeze into that budget.

its about ?2000 from sbd/similar..
I dont think they pop up very often 2nd hand.. not small block XE anyway.. plus more hassle that way.
Im buying a kit within next few months.
If you have the cash this summer; maybe able to try sorting a bit of discount buying two kits at once from somewhere..?

Small block are the same set up.... just different inlet manifold. I have seen a few recently go for ?900-1200 fore a full kit. Manifolds are ?180 from SBD.

There is a chap on Mig selling a brand new set up for ?1800, but he wont get that. Offer him ?1200 and tell him to stfu.

i thought a TBP45i would be block block only; like twin 45's...?
dont they do a TBP40i or summat, for the small blocks?.. twin 40's size?? hence my first post.. seen all these mentioned kits before on mig, ebay but thought its too big for small block.

Anyway, due to my inexperience (ok im chicken) easiest way.. ill be going with complete off the shelf assembled, if poss, kits..

Unless mr C.P's ex. 1.4 warrior half lump pops up soon..

Yeah but there is nothing wrong with using twin 45's on a 1.6 just more ecomonical to use 40's.

Russ's old 1.6 was on 45's.

And another point on it, Will F used his old 1.6 16v tb's on his now c20 xe as he said just changed the manifold, which you can use carb manifolds for.
