hello everyone was out today visiting my mum and went a run to tesco to do sum shopping for her. was parking the car and was stunned when this was sitting opposite me:cool:

i had alook around it and was in really good condition, it had manta 400 on it and irmisher badges on it but dont think irmisher modified the manta.

i400 was white though iirc? So unless thats been resprayed and modded I can't see it being original

that is a 400, or a saloon modified to 400 spec. arches wings, spoiler and bonnet. has had other vents cut into it was well.

irmscher did lots of things. i200, i240 and 400. as well as several optional factory parts.

i fitted my fibreglass 400 bonnet today to my manta hatch track slag, looks good just needs finishing off.

they're awesome cars to drive, i've got a welded dif in mine and make it far mor predictable. sits nice on billys and tarmac springs.

lookign closer, its not an original 400, it has 4 stud axle and all genuines 400's had 5 stud :) looks like gte recaro interior like the seats i sold. prob a modified gte 400 replica

courtney did a turbo 400 as well...

the road going manta 400's were a 2.4 injection engine producing 144hp and 155lbft. the rally version ran twin weber 50's lol and produced 275hp and 220lbft.

on the rally version the bonnet, boot, doors, wings and spoiler were all made from kevlar :D

only 245 400's were ever made. 200 had to be made for homologation.

and they weren't just made in white, they were also made in silver :)

Because there are people here that also love the astra mk1. Did you know that Opel made 6 astra mk 1's 400. with rearwheel drive and an 2.4 400 engine
