Hiya, i fitted my gsi engine at long last, problem i'v go is that when the car is running the oil pressure guage goes right over to the right hand side of the dial (gsi 6 dial clocks). from what i have read there is a blue/green and a blue/yellow wire for the pressure switch at on the back of the engine near the pulley, although on my car (J reg carb model) theres no blue/yellow. I ran a wire from the 2nd sender switch to the spade on the back of the dial and even tried swapping the 2 wires round but either way it still does the same. Please help me if you got anby ideas:confused:

The waterproof connection is the pressure switch, the round bullet type connection is the pressure analogue output. I've just replaced a faulty pressure sensor for the same reason. If you measure the resistance both terminals should read no more than 10ohms to chassis. Mine read about 40 odd on the analogue output. I also pressure tested it to confirm it was knackered out of the engine. Reading was 170 ohms at 5.2Bar for a good unit.

Hope this helps, Iain
