Either plate over it.
Or a new battery tray.
Interior needs be out because molten metal/sparks will drop down inside the car.

Dont bother repairing a boot lid, just replace it.

Didint mean the bootlid actually meant the bit off the car where rthe boot lid closes onto, and where the bumper joins onto, where can i get a new battery tray from?

Need to plate the boot floor as well just going to be a nightmare cutting it out as the corner has gone and the rest is fine

Battery tray, dash out along with moving wiring and sound deadening out of the way is the safest way to go, buy the repair panel and cut the rust out before welding in.

Rear panel, bumper off, wiring for rear lights needs to be pulled out of the way. Spot welds down both sides and along the bottom need to be drilled out, a bit of bending and brute force may be required along with a hammer and chisel to get the old one out. Getting the new one in can be tricky as the hole is smaller than the replacement panel. Repairs to the edge of the boot floor may also be required.

Don't forget both areas will need to be painted and rust-proofed too.

The panels should be available from any good bodyshop supplier, there's also Beavers and SEL-imperial on-line too.
