gearbox in or out????

right ive got a 2.0 8v engine in my nova and im doing an xe conversion, just wondered if i can leave the gearbox in the bay? in other words is there enough room in the bay to drop the valver lump in with box still in there? many thanks stu :thumb:

Nope. To achieve this you would have to drop the box to get enough clearence to remove the input shaft from the engine anyway. Drop the two together and split the box on the floor ;)

Whilst the box is dropped, cut a hole in the chassis leg then box section the hole so that you can get the input shaft out for future engine/clutch changes.
