ROOF RACK cool or not??

What do we think people is this cool or not? I think it is very cool IMO on the correct car and i would very much like one for mine but what is the general consensus?
I did a search and couldn't find a thread on this directly!

I'm not normally one for the saloon's but that one is as cool as penguin piss! The rack just finishes the look, and I would love to see it thrashing down the road & suprising some people (assuming its got a good lump in there!)

Have to say i dont like it mate, i always thought euro was all about smoothing lines so why go & add a roof rack, does that not just go against the whole euro look?!!? I know a few euro cars do the roof rack thing and pull it off well but its never made sense to me!

Edit - that one looks real tatty too, at least have a chrome/well looked after one.

On the right style of car roof racks look good, im think old skool with tatty jerry/oil cans, coca cola ice boxs, old suitcases etc etc
Works well on air cooled dubs :thumb:

This might be creditable if every nova in the whole country had a roofrack. but ive only seen 1 nova where i live, and it doesnt own a roofrack. so i think i can say the icecaps are still there :thumb:

We need to start "breaking from the mould" on the nova scene imo, it'll keep it alive and fresh. I know the old skool/rat look is predominantly vee-dub, but it'll translate to a nova real well.
I can almost gaurantee, a rat/euro nova at pvs will draw punters as much as a concours example, if only to make people go eeeuuuurgghhh!!!

I think the roof racks look cool, but leave the junk off it except for shows, it'll either get pinched, or if you ever had a head-on crash the other person would end up with an alloy wheel in their face :eek:
