Mincing through eBay tother night, looking at Nova parts and came across these (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=220199926196&ssPageName=ADME:X:RTQ:GB:1123) but being the good citizen that i am, i though d send him a message saying there not Sport seats, there SR items....

these are out of nova 1.3 sport the last 1s that they done i break nova s for a living i bet your 1 of them chaves how has a 1.2 how thinks its mint ive got a gte 1.6 8v wat does 137 mph in 4th gear thats of the clock mate and i still have 5th so u go and read up a bit more on your nova facts mate

Not the best way to sell them anyway, they're covered in all sorts of crap!

i found a similar thing on ebay,
nova with a big kit on claiming to be a gsi, had a pic of the engine, was an spi so thought i would tell him and had a similar reply.
i.e. you know nothing about mechanic`s engines or novas etc
ebays just full of people trying to rip someone off, especially over cars!!

Its gotta be done.... what a pleb.
Some people are a bit dense when it comes to Novas, and some list "sport" to include stuff like SR, GTE, etc, i.e. the "sporty" models. So its possible he was referring to that, rather than actually thinking they were from a legit Nova Sport.
Or... he could just be a tool.

I remember this lad who had a 'GTE' Mintest nova i have seen in ages keep trying to get him to sell it. Anyway its silver (grey) got all the gte bumpers , window surrounds and wheels ect, but is badged as a 1.2 . I was talking to him he asked what engine i had, i asked him, "its a GTE mate" Oh yeah why is it badges as a 1200....... Anyway still going on about it being a GTE i got him to open his bonnet, and i saw a carb'd 1200 staring up at me. It is a 1200, "No its a 1.6 GTE" Its got a Carb ffs!!" Yeah the GTEs are carb and the GSIs re injection!! What a muppet, he also told me about his R5 GTT that does 60ft in 1 second and that he has a LET to go in the nova and that he runs his own Push bike superstore place. Hes 17!!
Didnt think it was possable for people to come up with such stories and think people will believe them!!

Actual on second look there arent GTE seats either, one thing for sure they arent sport seats.
Anyway the guy is a complete tool. The annoying thing is you cant argue with these knobs as they seriously believe the things that are coming out of the their mouths.
I had one guy in a vectra V6 who wanted to race my corsa for logbooks. He knew it was a turbo, he knew it had nitrous, and had more bhp than he could count to. But he just seriously wouldnt expect that his factory 2.5 V6 vectra wuold smoke in a straight line (it wasnt even a 3lt for ****s sake). He alo claimed to have a 190mph+ top speed.
I just drove off an left them as I really dont have time to speak to people like. Even if I had have raced him an owned him badly he would just come up with some crap excuse as why I got ahead. Just cant win with these tools.

Out of which sr? for some reason I cant picture them, only ones I can see are the red / blue later ones and the early chav / sport ones?

hmmm well must not have broken one of those then, all the 1.3's ive seen have had the sport styles ones for which theer are two types.
probably just 1.4's then as ive had two and they both had those seats
