OK then, whos got a drilled standard airbox??

I've got a cold air feed up to the standard inlet and i'm ordering a KnN/Green standard replacement.

I would like to drill the air box too ............ is this a good idea or not :!:

Cheers

carb or injection?

if its carb u can remove the tube with hot/cold feed on it
breaks out on the airbox edge
it is as good as drilling holes in it as the intake area is 3-4 times as big
then in winter u can put it back on

if its injection then drill or cut the box

weeellll, as one of the others said, you're better off taking off the hot/cold spout. Does the same job. I've done it to my 1.2 by cutting (and stabbing myself :o ) it off. Doesn't make that noticeable difference on lower powered engines. Sounds better though :)
