hi guys. bought some double valve springs from autosprint for my gte.
arrived yesterday and thought "bargain". so commecing on i placed a valve stem seal on and then the springs.the centre spring sits on top of the seal.:wtf:

so, does it mean its ment to be like this or do you have to grind the edge off the seal so the spring sits flush with the bottom?

many thanks.

i certainly dont think its a good idea to have a valve spring on the seal.

A mate had this exact problem.
The inner spring actually knocked the stem seal out of its seat, and cause it to badly burn oil.
He ended up just removing the inner spring,Lol.

A bit of a pointless thing really, but he couldn't seen an alternative.

do you really need double springs? why not use a heavier spring instead. if theyre needed at all?!
