xe still running fast after moor new parts

looking for some help converted ma nova to c20xe it starts and drives ok but its tick over 1250-1500 and wont go any lower. i have bought new air flow meter, chrank sencor, tempature sencor. there is no visable signs of air getting in after the afm, and the timing's spot on. cheers Andy just put new plugs, leads, dizzy cap and rotor arm just to rule them out and its still the same. :confused: :confused: :confused: :mad:

Idle contol or could the auto choke be stuck on?

sounds like a ropey Idle Control Valve (ICV).
Its a bit of a pig to get to but take it off and clean it up.

dosent sound like a SENSOR problem to me.

Agree on the ICV, maybe find a spare.

Its located under the SFI box. Its plumbed in off the pipe on the side.

Easiest to get at from underneath IMO.

Check things like any vacuum pipes are connected on the throttle body etc.
As an open pipe will cause an air leak.
