swap the box. its easier.
or if you want to be difficult. pull the gear cassette out and swap it for the 5 speed. just checks your final drives are the same or you will have to swap the crown wheel as well.

there is more easyness in swapping the complete box. it only takes about 40 mins.

Box swap is far easier.

an f13 will fit exactly where an ohc f10 came out.

get a 5 speed stick as well.

not really a straight swap if his is 1.0-1.4 :p

? i not understand. it would cause problems on 1.0 as the studs/bolts are a different size. but that is all.

im getting mixed opinions here, ive been told by some people i carnt swap the box coz they just dont fit so i have to take all the gubbins out of a 5speed box and put it in my box??? soooo... i made this (http://www.pngclub.com/forum/showthread.php?t=90115&highlight=speed) thread and someone pm'd me telling me in detail how to take the cluster out and put it in my box??? im confused. can i do a straight swap?

If you have a 1l engine then the easiest route would probably be a cluster change since you will have to find a 1L 5sp box. if you have 1.2 or above then most F10's or F13's would swap straight over. Personally I'd change a cluster rather than a box, but others would do the opposite. You should be able to do either in a couple of hours. I'd also check what the FD is on your 4sp incase you change box and put a higher final drive in which would counteract your 5th gear. I saw a post on here the other day showing you how to finf the number.
