Hi Guys


What is needed to fit a Corsa Gsi Engine into my Mk1 Nova Gte???

Different exhaust as the existing front pipe wont meet the 16v downpipe.

Rest of it is straight forward. If the engine is a later X16XE (as opposed to C16XE) you must have the ECU, key & transducer chip for the inbuilt immobiliser to operate.

Engine & gearbox are essentially the same fitment though I'd fit the Nova GTE flywheel & clutch to the 16v engine.

do you use the same mounts and gearbox anyone got a wiring diagram or fitting guide?

Same mounts & Nova shafts as your GTE.

I've just fitted one to my GSi, not had it running yet but its about 5 wires to connect. All of which are on the plug in the engine bay.

Theres a few more wires to connect if you get a later engine.

Its all on this site, documented if you search (advanced search) for it.

The later engine Adam refers to is known as the X16XE. Pukka early Corsa GSi engine is C16XE which is the variant with an AFM & less emmissions control. Hence couple more bhp.
