whats the best 1600 engine to fit

as above....with the recent problems with my 1600 i've thinking about the 16v 1600 engine along with my twin 40s!

the cars a track day fun weekend car that i sometimes run about in...

do i fit just another 1600 block...

do i fit a new piston and shells again

do i buy a 1.6 16v engine and put my 40's on it and away i go?

what kinda power would i get from a 16'v engine with carbs on!?

Dont forget carbs on a 16v means you WILL need a mappable ignition ecu, so add that purchase cost and mapping cost onto what you want to spend.
SBD quote 140bhp, but thats on there engine dyno.
