:( can any1 help i have just converted my 1.2 nova into 1.6 8v gsi but dont no were to cut the wires from the car loom and were to cut the engine loom also what colour goes to what if that makes any sense

swap the car loom or engine loom???? sorry new to this s**t i am rippin me hair with it!!!!!!!!!!

easiest way is swap the lot for gsi if pos

^ yes if you are unsure of electrical string then this is the best way.

There is a plug on the GSi engine loom. Contains about 6 or 7 wires.

These are the wires you need to connect. Identify the plug & give it a switched Live (black), +ve feed from battery (thick RED), Rev counter (green), wire in the fuel pump relay (Blue/Red stripe), temp gauge (blue)

That should have it running if you have done it properly. The fuel pump will need wires running to rear of the car from the relay located on the engines loom.

Wire in starter & alternator as per usual & ensure all earthing points are well grounded with clean metal-on-metal contacts.
