Do you think you could go to vauxhall and ask them to make you a nova to all the old designs etc? like an 08 plate vauxhall nova gsi, or is that just silly?

What ever you could afford to pay them, they still say no. I can assure you, near enough all the tooling required required to make the panels would have long since been scrapped!

Think about it, why would they want the hassle of making ONE Nova?? You cannot justify the labour cost, time (waste of) and obtaining parts to build "just one Nova"

What ever you could realistically afford to pay, GM Opel would easily be making triple that in an hour worldwide....

I beg to differ.....the rarer they are, the more my mountain of Nova parts are worth :thumb: including one MINT 3dr hatch shell :D

The panel presses and what not have probably long been recycled anyway.

Plus, even if you offered them ?100m to build you a nova, it wouldn't be economical for them. And that kinda money is just a drop in the ocean to GM anyway.

There probably IS a figure where they would do something like that for you, but it would have to be a figure that would significantly boost the company's current losses (which, by the way, are around 60 million dollars :))

So probably offering GM 60 million would persuade them to build you a Nova lol

i can think of a lot better ways to spend 60 million.................

they all seem to involve copious amounts of baby oil and the pussycat dolls though :D

Vauxhall will build you a car, ring the customer services tomorrow, they moth balled the factory back in the 90s incase anyone wanted one, but its a long process to buy one.

Mike

Why anyone would want a one off comissioned Nova is anyones guess!

Something like an RS200 with a re-sale value of ?30k+ or like the pair of RS500's on eBay at the mo both over ?20k then yeah ok, but a frickin Nova??

lmfao, thats funny.

If vauxhall was willing to sell the moulds for the MK2 astra to Daewoo, im pretty sure they wouldnt let a factory full of nova making equipment in a in spain to gather dust lol

Saying that though, there was probably only a lathe and a welder in there anyway lol

It was more a case of GM took the moulds off Opel and gave them to Daewoo lol

If you had *that* much money, and wanted a new nova *that* badly, you'd be better off going to an engineering firm and getting them to strip one down to take dimensions from and make you a new one from new steel, or even better, aluminium, and to remove some of the design flaws while you were at it.

Jack

You'd end up with a Corsa D if that was the case!
