As far as i can imagine, id say that parts for the 20xe will be just fine.
What exact parts are you lookin for?

im basically going to strip it down and rebuild it.
ported and polished and gas flowed head, runnin carbs or throttle bodies
not very mechanically minded lol
so any information would be great

if you don;t have the knowledge then just take your wallet and your engine to someone who does :thumb:
Best advice I can give is ask Lee303 on www.migweb.co.uk (http://www.migweb.co.uk) as he is currently building a high spec engine of the one you enquire about.
I'm not sure if he uses PNG.
Lee's building a small block 1800 16v, z18xe
Not a big block c18xe.

unlike some people i actually want to build this car and engine by myself with the help of friends, novaload etc, as its my project not the bodyshops or mechanics project, and with building it myself i can learn how to do things so i dont have to go to a garage to get any work done which saves a few hundread quid on labour, which i think a some of u will agree with,
what power are you lookig to want from it?whats your budget?

budget not to much of a problem, dont know about power going to see what we can do and get out of a c18xe.

*Hangs head in shame*
So it's the engine as found in Astra Sports etc??
There's parts about for them, if you're struggling I'd email the likes of Chris Astley and see what they have or can get hold of.
I'd read lots of books about head modifications (the 4 stroke tuning book by graham bell is a good start) etc as youve done the usual stumbler of refering to it as "ported, polished and gasflowed" when technically they are all the same thing (in varying degrees of vaugeness).
first thing is first.
How long have you got, How much Money do you want to spend, How do you want to use the car (daily for 100 miles a day or infrequently at 5000miles a year etc), Will it be a track slag and so on.
Do you want big power, reliability and fainlly cheapness ? you can only ever have any two of those three things.
answer that lot and better advise can be dished out

can't fault yo at all then mate, just make sure you get things you read on forum backed up by someone in the know, most people will want to help you but may have been missinformed themselves, and that's when expensive mistakes get made
